For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” ~Esther 4:14 (NIV)
Just like Esther, we have all been given royal positions on the earth. We are told in Revelation 1:6 that Jesus has made us “kings and priests to His God and Father.” (NKJV) These royal positions didn’t come cheap. It cost our Savior His life to set us up in this holy position. It was a great sacrifice, and we cheapen it when we don’t step up to the plate and accept the position that has been bestowed upon us. One of the biggest tragedies known to mankind is a believing man or woman living like an unbeliever. Living on what the world has to offer instead of by faith in the promises of God. How are we ever going to do anything great for God in our generation if we can’t even believe God can get us what we need to make it through? God has filled us with His Holy Spirit for a purpose and that purpose is greater than any of us could ever imagine or dream of. He says our abilities and gifts to minister effectively to anyone and everyone He brings our way has already been established in Christ Jesus. We have the confidence we need in Christ; we have the health we need in Christ, we have the financial backing we need in Christ and He promises that we will have the desire we need to accomplish our destiny, but we have to receive them all by faith. Faith in what God has said in His word.
We should wake up every morning and prepare ourselves to be astounded by the awesomeness of our great God! We should be expecting victory in every area of our lives, and we should be prepared to absorb the pains and sufferings of hurting souls around us as we share the gospel of Jesus Christ. That gospel or "good news" is to be proclaimed to the entire world. That is our great commission! Are people able to find rest and a reprieve from the stresses of the world in your presence? Are they able to find hope in God’s great forgiveness and love when they spend time with you? The royal position you have is for such a time as this. When was the last time you pioneered a mission for Christ? The mission field is everywhere you go. It’s in your homes, in our workplaces, at the grocery store and even in church. God wants to speak to you through His Holy Spirit and show you where you are needed. He wants to reveal to you that lonely heart and He wants to reveal to you the financial needs He has blessed you to meet. God wants us to be able to believe Him for others deliverance just like Jesus believed Him and was able to bring deliverance to others. It has been said that to an infinite God all finites are equal. That means you will never run across a problem that you cannot solve with God’s help. Nothing is too big. Jesus said in Matthew 19:26 “with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (NIV) Are you ready to start believing all things are possible and step out of your comfort zone to make a difference in the lives of those around you? Well to do that you have to get some confidence in your God! God will back up every mission you set your foot to for His kingdom and for His glory. Start looking for needs around you and minister to them. You are able because God is with you!
You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. ~Psalm 18:28-29 (NIV)
Are you living on what the world has to offer or are you living by faith in the promises of God?
