He has never let you down and He never will

Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything; tell God your needs and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. ~Philippians 4:6-7 (TLB)

God can use our troubles to point others to Himself if we let Him.  One of the ways we work with the Lord in bringing others to salvation is by trusting in His love and care for ourselves.  None of us have a problem-free life.  Sometimes problems seem to be around every corner.   We must be careful not to get the mentality that we are “waiting for the other shoe to drop”.  If we do, we will surely have lost our peace.  True peace of heart and mind is rooted and grounded in our confidence in our right relationship with God and His love towards us.  Having peace in the midst of adversity is a witness to our faith and trust in God.  It does not matter if you have brought your troubles on yourself, if the devil is messing with you or if life just threw you a curve ball, God is always ready and waiting for us to trust in Him for the strength and confidence to make it through.  We must maintain the understanding that even if we have believed the lies of the enemy and lived and walked beneath who we are in Christ for years or even if we give in to temptations and our flesh, we have an advocate who has gone before us and prepared a continual way of restoration and reconciliation to our Father in Heaven.  Scripture tells us in Isaiah 50:7 “Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced.  Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.” (NIV)

Have you set your face like flint?  Faith says I have right now God’s promised blessings to me whether I see them or not because it is impossible for God to tell a lie.  God will bring every promise He has made to you to pass if you set your face like flint.   That is just a fancy way of saying to make up your mind to trust Him!  No matter what comes your way today you are called to cast down the plaguing doubts that cause you to feel like you are not on your way to a breakthrough and victory in every area of your life.  If you let God's promises and His word become an anchor for your soul and you hold on like a bulldog to the desires of your heart, persevering whatever may come, you will surely see victory after victory.  But you must know in your heart that although the obstacles are meant to be a diversion from the enemy, God turns them for your good and uses them to build the character you need to sustain your victory and live in the promises you have been given.  In Philippians 4:13 Paul writes “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]. (AMP)   If you are in Christ you have that same strength.  Trust God to infuse you with the inner strength you need to maintain your peace and be a witness to His love and goodness.  He has never let you down and He never will.  Our path to peace is to trust God in every situation.  Watch how other people respond when they witness your peace in the midst of difficult circumstances and always give God praise for manifesting His glory in your life.

God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them. ~Hebrews 6:10 (NIV)

Have you set your face like flint? What tough situation have you made up your mind to trust and wait for God to help you to get through?
