God will turn your mistakes into miracles

The wicked flee when no man pursues them, but the [uncompromisingly] righteous are bold as a lion. ~Proverbs 28:1 (NIV)

One of the main reasons people do not pray or ask God for what they need and want is that they do not feel worthy.  They do not feel good about themselves, or they do not feel that they are spiritual enough, so they don’t believe God would listen to them anyway.  Have you ever thought you were undeserving of God’s love and blessings?  We all make mistakes and when we do we have to learn to receive God’s forgiveness and mercy.  Only then will we have the confidence and strength to get it right.  In Proverbs 28 God says the righteous are as bold as a lion.  Are you as bold as a lion?  If not, you might want to ask God to help you out with that.  He wants us to be bold in our faith.  He wants us to trust in His all-consuming love for us.   Our lack of faith in God’s love and mercy can actually block the flow of the blessings He wants to pour into our lives.  God tells us in Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (AMP)  God’s good will toward us has come through Jesus and what He did on the cross.  Although we didn’t do anything to deserve it, we still must receive it and we must receive it boldly!  The world and the devil aren’t just going to hand us everything that Jesus purchased for us on the cross.  We have to take it by faith!  We are told in Isaiah 61:6-7 “And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God.  You will feed on the wealth of the nations, and in their riches you will boast.  Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance.  And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” (NIV)  Those promises are for you and me and it is going to take some bold faith for them to be manifested in our lives.

When we talk to God and make requests of Him, we must know in our hearts by faith our position as His sons and daughters who are made righteous through the blood of Jesus.  Otherwise, we may not hear His voice clearly or perceive His answers accurately.  Too often we think our righteousness is based on doing things “right” ...like saying the "right" words, behaving the "right" way, or having the “right” attitude.  Those are all important, but the truth is that we cannot make ourselves righteous.  Oh, we can make ourselves religious, but we can never make ourselves righteous.  True righteousness is not based on what we do right, but it is based on what Jesus did for us. His righteousness becomes ours by faith and once we believe that truth, we will progressively display more and more right behavior.  We must never forget that God answers our prayers because He is good, not because we are. We can approach Him boldly in prayer and expect to hear from Him daily.  Trust in Jesus’s righteousness and pray boldly today and then watch God turn your mistakes into miracles.

Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. ~Hebrews 4:16 (AMP)

Are you bold as a lion? What have you prayed for and know that it is God’s will for you that you refuse to cast away your confidence about?
