All day, every day and in each and every circumstance

For we are God’s own handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. ~Ephesians 2:10 (AMP)

Do you truly believe in your heart that God has a good plan for your life?  If you do, then your life should reflect that you believe it.  Paul writes in Philippians 3:10 “[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him and [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him…]” (AMP)  We can’t know Gods plan for our lives until we come to know God Himself.  Do you know God?  Well, He said knock and the door will be opened so we really have no excuse not to know our Savior!  We are told in Ephesians 2:10 that God has prearranged good works for us to do.  Have you ever taken the time to pre-arrange for someone to do something and then not tell them what it was that you wanted for them to do?  That would be ridiculous.  Sometimes the works we pre-arrange, and the works God has pre-arranged are completely different.  Sometimes God interrupts our plans with something better.  Oftentimes we don’t look at our interrupted plans as possibly something better but that is because of our own selfish nature and our desire to be Lord of our own life.  Walking with the Lord on a daily basis enables Him to show us just how much better our lives can be when we choose to follow verses trying to lead.  We are told in Amos 5:4 “This is what the Lord says to Israel: “Seek me and live.” (NIV) We truly are living when we are seeking God’s will and His plan for our lives and trusting in Him to be Lord of our outcomes.

God isn’t hiding the path to fulfill our destiny.  The question is: are we looking for that path?  We have many choices placed before us every day and every decision we make determines the path our life will take next.  We should not only be ready for the Lord to redirect our steps.  We should be thankful for it.  The Lord outlines in His word the kind of life He expects us to live and what He expects us to be doing.  Then He enables us to live that life by the power of His Holy Spirit.  God wants us to live a life that glorifies Him and exemplifies His character in the earth, just like Jesus did.  The bottom line is we have to love each other from a pure heart; all day, every day and in each and every circumstance.   By our actions are we drawing others to God or pulling them away from Him?  When we speak do people hear Jesus?  When we align ourselves with God’s perfect plan, we align ourselves to do the works God has prepared for us to do.  If you want to line up with God, line up with His word.  Get in His word and figure out what He wants you to do and how He expects you to handle the situations you face every day.  You cannot experience God’s wonderful plan for your life until you truly believe He has one and then learn to walk in it.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful. ~Joshua 1:8 (AMP)

How has God redirected your steps lately? Did you struggle with it? Did you have a hard time in trusting Him with the outcome?
